We are honored to invite you to join us in the Association (hands of our kids), a local NGO that cares, sponsors and treats diseases affecting the hands of our children and help their rehabilitation and inclusion in normal society and bear the burden for their families and relatives.
One of these diseases is Brachial plexus congenital palsy, which affects the child in the first minute of birth, causing complete paralysis of the hand and upper end, as well as birth defects of the hand, which may lead to the complete/partial loss of the hand and upper limb. Unfortunately, the incidence of these diseases is very high in our region , and in addition to being a medical problem, it is also a big social more complicated problem, as it negatively impacts the lives of thousands of children and their families who suffer from its impact throughout their lives.
In most of these cases, these children need a delicate, complex and expensive surgery to solve those problems and restore hand function properly for the return of the child to natural life. These children need for high-tech prosthetic devices and rehabilitation advanced programs that may last for many years.
We hope you share with us your views that these diseases that afflict the hands of our children at an early age is not the problem of the child or his family but of the society as a whole, and all efforts of our people and institutions must be combined together to solve and treat these children in a timely manner.
